If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund your goods in full, provided that the items are returned within 14 days of receipt.*

Please check the condition of goods on arrival - we are unable to accept goods damaged during shipping after 14 days.

Returned goods must be packaged securely, with all original packaging undamaged and in a saleable condition i.e. shoe boxes must be in the same condition as when received.

Goods must be unused and security seals intact.*

If you would like to return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit, return postage will be at your expense. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement.

Please be aware that some navigational and safety products may be dated, and as such a full refund may in some cases not be possible. If you are purchasing dated navigational charts we suggest you contact us for more information.

Faulty Goods

If you receive your goods and believe them to be faulty, please contact us straight away with a brief description of the problem. If we require you to return the product for a replacement, we will send you a pre-paid Royal Mail label for delivery back to us. Unfortuantely we cannot send the courier back to collect the items.

Returning goods to Force 4 is easy!

  1. Please contact us by ringing 0345 1300 710 or email on [email protected]. This way we'll be able to determine whether you would like to return the product for a refund or whether you'd like to exchange the product. We are unable to process the return of faulty goods that we're not expecting.
  2. We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
  3. Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
  4. Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.

*this excludes faulty goods with manufacturers defects. If goods are found to be faulty during use, after the returns period, please just give us a ring on 0345 1300 710 and we'll be happy to help.

Questions & Answers
Questions & Answers

Do I I need to remove all the previous antifoul or can I just apply a new coat on top? Do I need to use anything else?

Jerry P

Hi Jerry, in short you don't have to remove the previous layers of antifoul although its worth looking closely at the condition of those layers. The "old layers" are the residual resin layer and can build up over time and begin to crack and peel off as they dry. If they get too thick, then a good scrape back to gelcoat is not a bad idea and you can start again. In all circumstances it is always best practice to sand (P120) any unstable spots or areas of cracked antifoul and spot prime with Seajet 015 Underwater Primer before applying a minimum of 2 roller coats of Seajet antifoul. For fresh water on the River Avon & would recommend Seajet 037 Coastal or 035 Hard Racing antifoul. Most antifouls are generally compatible with one another & you can check the Seajet compatibility chart. If unsure then it`s always advisable to apply a barrier coat of 015 Underwater Primer on the hull prior to antifoul.

I have heard that regular (ie fortnightly) jetwashing can affect the performance of antifoul. Is this true? Jetwashing is so convenient, are there paints that stand up to it better? Phil R

Jetwashing is great for removing growth from antifoul but the very nature of the high velocity of water can affect the surface of the antifoul. When you jetwash your patio and run your fingers across the slabs afterwards, you will feel the difference. Self polishing antifouls (Seajet 031 Samurai, 033 Shogun, & 034 Emperor are generally softer and formulated to fall off in micronic layers as the boat passes through the water taking the growth away in the process. Hence having enough layers on in the first place, enhances performance). A jetwash mid-season won`t do any harm unless you stand too close with the wand and the run off is the same colour as your antifoul.......then you are removing it ! Hard antifouls (Seajet 037, 035) are composed of a harder resin which relies on water allowing the active copper & co-biocides to leech out and inhibit growth and are therefore more resistant to knocks, grounding & running onto trailers so better suited to regular hard washes.
