Drogues & Sea Anchors for Boats

Sailors will use Sea Anchors or Drogues to slow down a yacht when it's going too fast on waves in tough wind and sea conditions. Typically deployed from the stern they add some drag to the boat. 

In emergencies, you can attach a yacht drogue to the front of the boat. This helps the boat face the waves directly or at a slight angle. As a result, it becomes easier to slow down and control the boat. On top of this it can also act as a form of emergency steering as well.
