From teak decks to teak trim and cockpit fittings, teak can be seen on most boats in some form. It is a tremendously tough wood with incredible weatherproof qualities that make it popular for use on boats as well as garden furniture. Despite these qualities, teak still requires some regular care.
Recommended care includes taking the time each week to wash the deck using a sponge or brush with fresh water or salt water. Then every 3-6 months washing the teak down with a specialist teak cleaner or treatment to bring it back to its natural red-brown, freshly sanded look.
Teak oils are a blend of other natural oils, used to bring out the natural grain and colour of the wood but feeding it and seeping into the wood.
Teak sealers are different to teak oils. They seal in the oils already found within the wood and help to prevent contaminants and moisture damaging it.
We stock a good range of teak oils and teak cleaners that are easy to apply and bring back your teak to its natural beauty.
