Tillerpilots

Tiller-pilots are usually the only option on smaller vessels steered with a tiller. They're an electrically driven ram which is mounted between the tiller and a fitting on the side of the cockpit.

Each autopilot type has its own advantages and disadvantages. When it comes to choosing an autopilot for your vessel, make sure that you base your calculations on realistic data from your boat, to ensure that the autopilot you choose is up to the task or isnt unnecessarily heavy and drawing too much power.
