Sail repair tapes are useful for providing a quick and temporary fix for holes and tears in sails. These temporary fixes give you the time or the ability to get yourself back to a marina and your sail taken to a sail maker for more permanent repairs.
There are a variety of different material tapes on offer to suit the sail that might need a repair. Kevlar tapes provide a strong and tough repair solution, whereas Ripstop tapes, otherwise known as Spinnaker tape, is more suited to lighter sails with more movement.
Mylar tapes are also available, offering a clear repair solution for sail windows or even patching up plastic windows in spray hoods and boat covers.
All these tapes have great UV protection and weather resistance.
