Marine Switch Panels, Battery Switches & Battery Monitoring

Boat switch panels and battery switches are at the centre of any 12V electrical system. They giving you safe, organised control over your onboard power. From navigation lights and bilge pumps to cabin lighting and electronics, a well-planned electrical installation makes day-to-day operation simpler. Proper power distribution will also help protect your wiring and batteries.

Our range includes switch and fuse panels for managing multiple circuits, battery master switches for isolating or selecting battery banks, and battery monitoring equipment to keep track of voltage and charging performance. You'll also find fuse holders, distribution components and replacement parts for maintaining or upgrading your electrical system.

Choosing the Right Equipment

Switch Panels ->

  • Used to control multiple circuits from one location.
  • Choose fused panels for simple installations.
  • Choose breaker panels for easier reset and fault identification.
  • Waterproof panels suit exposed cockpits or RIB consoles.
  • Panels with USB / 12V outlets reduce the need for separate sockets.

Battery Master Switches ->

  • Provide isolation for safety and maintenance.
  • On/Off switches suit single‑battery setups.
  • 1/2/Both switches suit dual‑bank systems.
  • Compact switches are useful where space is limited.
  • Stainless or heavy‑duty housings suit offshore or high‑load installations.

Battery Monitors & Monitoring ->

  • Voltmeters give quick status checks.
  • Testers help diagnose charging issues.
  • Fuse boxes with warning lights help identify blown circuits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a battery master switch do?

A battery master switch disconnects power from the battery to the boat's electrical system. This helps prevent battery drain, improves safety during maintenance and provides a quick way to isolate electrical circuits in an emergency.

What's the difference between an ON/OFF switch and an OFF/1/BOTH switch?

An ON/OFF switch simply connects or disconnects a battery. An OFF/1/BOTH switch allows you to select between two battery banks or combine them when required. They are suitable for boats with separate engine start and domestic batteries.

How many switches should a boat switch panel have?

Choose a switch panel with enough circuits for both your current equipment and future additions. Many leisure boats use 4-8 switch panels, while larger installations may require additional circuits.

Should I choose fuses or circuit breakers?

Both protect electrical circuits. Fused panels are often simpler and more economical, while circuit breakers can be reset without replacing a fuse after a fault has been resolved.
