4G Connect is a new 2G/3G/4G (LTE) internet access solution for use afloat.
It utilises the latest MIMO technology with dual antennas for fast, long range access and incorporates a full function wifi router so multiple devices can connect wirelessly. There is also a wired LAN port and WAN port for connection to high power wifi devices or satellite modems.
4G Connect is available in two variants -The Standard model has built in antennas which will provide good performance when in port. The Pro model ships with two external hi gain antennas for exceptional long range performance and is the recommended solution for use afloat.

Returning goods to Force 4 is easy!
- Please contact us by ringing 0345 1300 710 or email on [email protected]. This way we'll be able to determine whether you would like to return the product for a refund or whether you'd like to exchange the product. We are unable to process the return of faulty goods that we're not expecting.
- We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
- Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
- Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.
*this excludes faulty goods with manufacturers defects. If goods are found to be faulty during use, after the returns period, please just give us a ring on 0345 1300 710 and we'll be happy to help.
What range does this system offer?
David
This can pick up a signal up to 15m offshore (depending on environment and installation) 30/04/20
Please can let me know the range of the 4g connect internet - I am looking for upto 10miles offshore. Force 4
It depends on the network provider, where their cell tower is in relation to the shore, the frequency of the mobile signal (lower frequency = longer range), how many other devices are connected, the topography of the coastline (line of sight), etc. so many variables.
In Digital Yachts tests with Vodafone (uses the lowest 800Mhz LTE frequency) around the Solent they always had a good connection and managed between 10-15 miles off shore when they came out of the Solent.
To get maximum range, you need the Pro antennas and you need to talk to locals in the area you will be sailing in to find which network has the best coverage and then check what frequencies they use for 4G. If there are a cjhoice of two good network providers go for the one that uses the lowest LTE frequencies. 21.01.21
