Description
Exposure MOB Carbon Torch

The Exposure MOB Carbon combines the functionality of a very good torch torch with the safety elements of a floating water activated strobe.  Making it a great all round torch to have on board.

This compact, floating, LED search light uses a unique combination of aluminum and carbon, never before combined into a hand held light, to create a truly lightweight yet reassuring design.

The MOB Carbon can be used on land and under water down to 5 meters depth allowing maximum versatility.

Keep it in your pocket and use it as a search, trimming and work light. If you fall overboard the light will float to the surface and automatically start strobing at 1 flash every second for up to 20 hours.

Alternatively store the MOB Carbon near the helm and if an MOB occurs simply throw the light towards the MOB, it will float, start the strobe and clearly mark the body of water.

“James,

"This is an incredibly cool torch - Carbon, floating, auto strobe, it really is something special. Just to have on board knowing it can be used in a variety of ways, even in the worst of situations during MOB at night shows the value to having it on board"

James, Force 4 Team Member

  2. We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
  3. Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
  4. Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.

*this excludes faulty goods with manufacturers defects. If goods are found to be faulty during use, after the returns period, please just give us a ring on 0345 1300 710 and we'll be happy to help.

Do you have any products that would be suitable for winter solo sailing in areas where cell reception isn’t an issue?

JamesT
We recommend always carrying a floating water activated strobe, such as the Exposure Float-On or MOB Carbon. This ensure you are easily seen if you do fall overboard. We also have the OLAS system which has a Solo mode within the mobile app. If you fall overboard the OLAS alarm will be triggered on board and after 1 minute, if the alarm is not cancelled by you return to the boat then an automatic SMS message is sent to the number of your choice. The message contain your essential vessel information and the location at which you went overboard. The specified number is then advised to try calling you back, and if there is no response they should contact the emergency services with the details provided in the SMS. OLAS tags can be easily attached to your lifejacket or worn around your wrist. It acts as a virtual tether between you and your boat for those moments where you may not be clipped in. If you are operating on your own under autopilot you can install the OLAS Guardian which can be connected to some autopilot systems, deactivating the course if you fall overboard. Taking this one step further it can, in some instances, also be connected to your boats engine for if you are motoring. 16th December 2020 We recommend always carrying a floating water activated strobe, such as the Exposure Float-On or MOB Carbon. Are any of your Exposure torches able to go as deep as 6/7 metres? Some good quality light would be useful for tasks like clearing the propellor if it’s fouled. DougM
Although we do not specify the MOB carbon as an 'underwater' light we use the same switch and sealing system for our dive lights, rated to 100m depth. You can be confident to take it to 6 metres, but don't forget it will quickly float back to the surface! 17th December 2020 Although we do not specify the MOB carbon as an 'underwater' light we use the same switch and sealing system for our dive lights, rated to 100m depth.
