Digital Yacht 4GXtream Internet Access System

4GXtream is Digital Yacht’s latest, premium LTE internet access product. It offers fast connectivity at up to 300 MBs and has a built in dual band wifi router, dual SIM slots, built in GPS as well as an NMEA 2000 interface. It ships as a complete package with dual external antennas, deck mounting hardware and cabling. Alternative antenna mounts are available as options.

Using MIMO technology and two external wide band LTE antennas, it offers fast connectivity at up to 300 MBs (network dependent). It has a built in dual band wifi router supporting multiple connections, dual SIM slots (with auto fail over if required), built in GPS (for anchor alarm & tracking applications) as well as an NMEA 2000 interface for navigation and instrument data connectivity and wireless interfacing. There’s also a Bluetooth interface for future connectivity applications.

4G Xtream also has an NMEA 2000 interface so that NMEA 2000 navigation data can be made available for apps on smartphones, tablets, iPads and PCs. This allows all NMEA 2000 data as well as internet data to be sent to popular iOS and Android apps and navigation software such as Navionics, iSailor, Weather4D, SailGrib, iNavX, TimeZero, OpenCPN and more.

It is ideal for use on large yacht, workboats, tugs and commercial ships where reliable, low cost coastal internet and in port connectivity is required. 4G Xtream features independent dual band (2.4 & 5GHz) wifi for interconnection to mobile devices. This also provides the connectivity for NMEA data so apps on mobile devices can utilise the boats navigation and instrumentation data.

For external hi-power wifi (to access shoreside hotspots) the WiFi booster antenna is recommended which connects to the WAN port. 4GXtream can then act as a router for this connection and allow the user to switch from wifi to LTE.

Configuration

Configuration is very simple. Just insert the SIM cards. The 4GXtream has two standard SIM slots and it is possible to fit two SIMs from two different network operators. By default, the 4GXtream will query the SIM that is installed and automatically select the APN settings from its internal database.

However, it is very important that you “lock down” your wireless network, with your own network name (SSID) and wireless password. This task only takes a couple of minutes.

Standard Returns

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund your goods in full, provided that the items are returned within 14 days of receipt.*

Please check the condition of goods on arrival - we are unable to accept goods damaged during shipping after 14 days.

Returned goods must be packaged securely, with all original packaging undamaged and in a saleable condition i.e. shoe boxes must be in the same condition as when received.

Goods must be unused and security seals intact.*

If you would like to return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit, return postage will be at your expense. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement.

Please be aware that some navigational and safety products may be dated, and as such a full refund may in some cases not be possible. If you are purchasing dated navigational charts we suggest you contact us for more information.

Faulty Goods

If you receive your goods and believe them to be faulty, please contact us straight away with a brief description of the problem. If we require you to return the product for a replacement, we will send you a pre-paid Royal Mail label for delivery back to us. Unfortuantely we cannot send the courier back to collect the items.

Returning goods to Force 4 is easy!

1. Please contact us by ringing 0345 1300 710 or email on [email protected]. This way we'll be able to determine whether you would like to return the product for a refund or whether you'd like to exchange the product. We are unable to process the return of faulty goods that we're not expecting.
2. We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
3. Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
4. Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.
