Description
Crewsaver Ergofit+ 190N Automatic/Harness Life Jacket

Yachting Monthly Best On Test

Awarded "Best on Test" by Yachting Monthly Magazine - August 2019

Crewsaver's ErgoFit+ lifejacket features their innovative halo hood system. This fully self-supporting spray hood which, once deployed, works with the shape of the inflated bladder to form a spacious cavity above the wearer’s face. This works to significantly reduce the risk of water inhalation (the cause of secondary drowning) as well as heat loss.

The hood also includes an internal panel which further protects the wearer against spray whilst doubling up as an anti-glare panel, shielding the wearers’ eyes from the lifejacket light.

Engineered with a customized shape, the Ergofit bladder ensures unparalleled distribution of buoyancy around the wearer. This helps to maximise in-water support and airways protection.

Whether the wearer is donning heavy clothing or not, the ErgoFit boasts rapid rotation capability, completing the turn in under 3 seconds. It also helps to increase the distance between the water line and airways. The sculpted shaping around the shoulders provides improved in-water mobility and with it the ability for the wearer to self-help recovery back to safety.

Furthermore, the ErgoFit+ introduces an innovative buckle system. The quick-lock buckle systems has a sleek and slimline design whilst allowing the wearer to put the lifejacket on with ease. It also allows for seamless integration with a single-loop harness attachment point for ease of tethering.

For even more protection in a man-overboard incident, an Exposure OLAS Tag, a portable crew tracking and overboard location alert system, can be easily integrated into this lifejacket - taking man overboard protection to the next level.

Ergofit+ 190N Features:

  • Tailored rear window pocket, designed for Exposure OLAS tag integration
  • Built-in inflatable chin support to help protect your airway
  • Fusion 3D shape providing the ultimate in comfort
  • Soft loop D-ring for attaching safety harness
  • Three-layer cover construction for durability

Returns

Standard Returns

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund your goods in full, provided that the items are returned within 14 days of receipt.*

Please check the condition of goods on arrival - we are unable to accept goods damaged during shipping after 14 days.

Returned goods must be packaged securely, with all original packaging undamaged and in a saleable condition i.e. shoe boxes must be in the same condition as when received.

Goods must be unused and security seals intact.*

If you would like to return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit, return postage will be at your expense. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement.

Please be aware that some navigational and safety products may be dated, and as such a full refund may in some cases not be possible. If you are purchasing dated navigational charts we suggest you contact us for more information.

Faulty Goods

If you receive your goods and believe them to be faulty, please contact us straight away with a brief description of the problem. If we require you to return the product for a replacement, we will send you a pre-paid Royal Mail label for delivery back to us. Unfortuantely we cannot send the courier back to collect the items.

Returning goods to Force 4 is easy!

  1. Please contact us by ringing 0345 1300 710 or email on [email protected]. This way we'll be able to determine whether you would like to return the product for a refund or whether you'd like to exchange the product. We are unable to process the return of faulty goods that we're not expecting.
  2. We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
  3. Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
  4. Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.

*this excludes faulty goods with manufacturers defects. If goods are found to be faulty during use, after the returns period, please just give us a ring on 0345 1300 710 and we'll be happy to help.

Questions & Answers
Questions & Answers
Which is better - the automatic or hammar? Tim Langfeld

Neither is really better than the other they are simply different in how they operate.  If you get wet constantly or take spray then the Hammar would be the right choice.  There is a risk that excess spray will set off a UML automatic cartridge but the Hammar is a hydrostatic release system so has to be submerged to about 10cm for it to fire the jackets gas cylinder.

For many sailors the UML automatic is a perfectly fine choice.
