Returns

Standard Returns

If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, we will exchange or refund your goods in full, provided that the items are returned within 14 days of receipt.*

Please check the condition of goods on arrival - we are unable to accept goods damaged during shipping after 14 days.

Returned goods must be packaged securely, with all original packaging undamaged and in a saleable condition i.e. shoe boxes must be in the same condition as when received.

Goods must be unused and security seals intact.*

If you would like to return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit, return postage will be at your expense. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement.

Please be aware that some navigational and safety products may be dated, and as such a full refund may in some cases not be possible. If you are purchasing dated navigational charts we suggest you contact us for more information.

Faulty Goods

If you receive your goods and believe them to be faulty, please contact us straight away with a brief description of the problem. If we require you to return the product for a replacement, we will send you a pre-paid Royal Mail label for delivery back to us. Unfortuantely we cannot send the courier back to collect the items.

Returning goods to Force 4 is easy!

  1. Please contact us by ringing 0345 1300 710 or email on [email protected]. This way we'll be able to determine whether you would like to return the product for a refund or whether you'd like to exchange the product. We are unable to process the return of faulty goods that we're not expecting.
  2. We'll then give you a returns number. This returns number will need to be clearly marked on the outside of your parcel so it can be identified on arrival. Please note, failure to mark a returns reference number on the outside of your parcel may result in a delay in processing your return.
  3. Don't forget your proof of postage, just in case!
  4. Once we receive the item we'll be able to proceed with a refund or an exchange.

*this excludes faulty goods with manufacturers defects. If goods are found to be faulty during use, after the returns period, please just give us a ring on 0345 1300 710 and we'll be happy to help.

Questions & Answers
Questions & Answers
What is the recommended maximum mast height? How close to the display does the base unit have to be? For instance, could the base unit be located in a locker. William Whalley

In free air, it can transmit a signal up to 100 meters. Placing the base unit somewhere out of sight such as a locker may reduce this distance, but as long as the display can pick up a signal from the base, it will function fine.

Dose the display have a white background or only the orange / night background?

Vaughn

These units have black digits over a grey background with the illumination turned off. The background illumination is a red/orange colour with 9 levels of backlighting from dim to bright.

Does this wind system allow an output for the Clipper display as well as the NASA NMEA0183 TO NMEA2000 converter so you can use the display as well as an NMEA2000 output to a plotter? Thanks Mark Wilkinson
Yes the Clipper Display has a additional NMEA0183 output designed for a repeater. However the NASA NMEA0183 to NMEA2000 converter (220663) can be fitted instead. 26/01/22 Yes the Clipper Display has a additional NMEA0183 output designed for a repeater. - And another score from NASA Marine

I’ve had almost all of the NASA Clipper range of products over the years , and each has been a terrific alternative to the much more expensive options from the “market leaders” . The wireless wind is no exception. I’ve the repeater unit too as I have a motorsailor with dual helms , and it has no problem whatsoever with the wireless capabilities from either helm be it on the inner helm in the salon or the outside centre cockpit . The masthead unit , as claimed , gives perfect service with no concerns about the lifetime of the internal batteries and the built in solar charging unit . The heads are the same standard format size as the rest of the Clipper instruments so you can swap about with no need for new custom housings unlike some manufacturers when you upgrade their products, and the wiring couldn’t be simpler and easier to understand for self installing. I’d give this a huge thumbs up as it’s been performing faultlessly now for 2 years . My boats never winterised as I sail year round , the winter never posed moisture problems in the screens and the summer UV never faded the displays so quite honestly , why exactly did I spend far more in previous years on my then favoured Raymarine set up ?! NMEA 0183 connectivity is common across the NASA Clipper range so forget networking issues and additional multiplex boxes . Just buy and fit Mark Hind on Wednesday, 26th June 2019
