Works fine and you can do more than just use the furuno app.
Max Sea or Nobletech TZ (Time Zero ) app allows you to overlay Radar from the 1st watch DRS4W to the app charts. You can even overlay AIS at the same time. The way you do this is to send your AIS Data over wifi to the Radar which then re transmits it with the Radar Data to the iPad. Use the Shipmodule wifi Multiplexer to do this or similar if you have no wifi on the AIS.
Very easy to Install on Scan mount brackets (extra)
Power consumption seems ok but not sure what it uses on standby.
Only works with Ipad or iPhone devices.
Furuno app lacks a guard alarm. Although some advise against using guard alarms anyway.
