Dual Battery Single Engine DVSR Cluster
When the engine is started and the start battery voltage reaches 13.7 volts, the VSR engages and then charges both start and secondary (domestic) batteries. When the start battery voltage falls below 12.8 volts (i.e Engine stopped), the VSR disengages and separates the batteries. This system eliminates the possibility of draining the start battery and also protects sensitive electronics (that are powered from the secondary battery) from any harmful engine start spikes.

Installed a number of years ago and has worked well since with no signs of corrosion or problems. As it says protects start battery rom being drained by general usage in a 2 battery system allowing a vehicle battery to be used for starting (good current output) and a leisure battery to be used for general use (better at cycling from battery being drained to a lower voltage.
