Cable Lock Alarm - On charter boats in the Caribbean, dinghies are supplied with a wire cable and padlock to lock both dinghy and outboard to the pontoon whilst you're ashore. I could have done with this same piece of kit in Salcombe too! If anyone tries to cut through the 2.4m long steel cable, a 120 decibel alert is sent out. It also features a hardened drill-resistant lock and flashing alarm light. Powered by a small 9v battery, and has a test facility to ensure the battery is powered up.
